What is the lock rate feature on Maersk Go?
When you initiate a search for a new shipment on Maersk Go, you have the option to ‘lock rate’. This means that you can freeze the daily rate you see, and it will be available to you on that particular corridor and container size for a total of up to 20 FFE (forty-foot equivalent unit). The locked rate can be used for up to 30 calendar days from purchase. This offers your business more certainty and stability.
Please note that a non-refundable lock rate fee applies. It starts at 50 USD and varies, depending on the trade route.
