If I locked a rate for a port location, can I use the same rate on a door location too?
Lock rates are not transferable between door and port locations, even when the loading or discharge port is the same. Amendments on locations will trigger repricing.
For example, say you lock a rate from Shanghai Port to Manzanillo Port. This lock rate will only apply for this exact combination. If you change the destination to Mexico City (door), although the discharge port is still Manzanillo, we’ll recalculate the price to the daily rate.
