Our cargo services offer more agility from the contract product setup, certainty from operations insights and reliability on delivery, anywhere across the globe.
Ocean Contract provides you with access to real-time data on all your ocean lanes with its Allocation Portal. This helps you to get insight into your volume availability, consumption data and more information that can help you optimise your contract utilisation.
Services
As business needs evolve, so do our contracts. Ocean Contract offers three distinct products — each guaranteeing space availability while giving you the volume flexibility to match your supply chain and seasonal demands.
Ocean Contract Fixed
This offering provides a set number of containers per lane every week at market relevant rates.
- You get access to a weekly committed volume for your stable ocean logistics needs.
- Choose between Fixed pricing, which is subject to emergency and peak season surcharge, or monthly indexed (Xeneta Short/SCFI) pricing which is not subject to emergency or peak season surcharge.
- Fixed contracts are for 3 months and above.
- You can also get monthly access to reserve extra space via Space Reserve or Instant Space.
Ocean Contract Seasonal
This product is ideal for supply chains that need to synchronise allocation with production fluctuations.
- You get weekly committed volume (based on MQC divided by number of weeks in agreement), with 20% extra seasonality for up to 4 months (of your choice) per year.
- You can choose fixed pricing, which is subject to emergency and peak season surcharge, or monthly indexed (Xeneta Short/SCFI) pricing which is not subject to emergency or peak season surcharge.
- Fixed contracts are for 3 months and above.
- You can also get monthly access to reserve extra space via Space Reserve or Instant Space.
Ocean Contract Block Space
This is ideal for stable ocean logistics needs. You can purchase fixed space guarantee on a market-to-market basis.
- Get weekly committed volume, based on MQC divided by number of weeks in agreement.
- You get weekly indexed (Xeneta Short/SCFI) pricing, which is not subject to emergency or peak season surcharge.
- Contracts for 3 months and above (with bookings above MQC), are subject to space availability or Spot.
- When you choose block space, you are committed to 90% of MQC (unused space subject to deadfreight) and we are committed to 100% of MQC.

The Allocation Portal makes logistics easier at your end. The online platform gives you an overview of all your contracted routes with Maersk in real-time, 24/7. It provides complete visibility of space availability for your cargo and the volume consumed by your current bookings.
To access the allocation information on the portal, you will need to enable the ‘Allocation Manager’ role on Maersk.com.
