What does Book-and-Claim mean?
Book-and-Claim is a concept, in which the environmental attributes of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) are detached from the physical flow of the SAF or cargo. Book-and-Claim allows, that your ECO Delivery Air cargo can fly on an aircraft with conventional aviation fuel. However, the environmental benefits of SAF burned within another airline network can still be allocated to you. However, this is not to be confused with the principles of offsetting, which takes place in a different industry, and doesn’t contribute to reducing the emissions in the industry where they take place.
