Sharing one network and one planet - how it works

Maersk ECO Delivery Ocean is based on a Mass Balance chain of custody model (CoC), that uses reduced GHG emission fuels, such as biofuel or methanol. The emission reductions are gained on any of the lanes within the Maersk overall network, covering the agreed distance for your booking. Learn more about Mass Balance and ECO Delivery in the FAQ section.

On September 2023, Maersk was proud to set the world’s first methanol-powered container vessel on its maiden voyage.
