The maximum weight distribution on truck per Tanzanian road regulation are as per below First Axel: 7,000KG 2.- 2nd Axel: 16,000KG 3.- 3rd Axel: 22,000KG
Freight and IHI should always be PREPAID
Ensure at booking stage correct consignee information is provided and recorded in GCSS /i.e/ E-mail address, Phone number and physical address
In case of seal discrepancy and overweight penalties to be subject to shipper
In case of Consignee not responding when approached, booking office need to make sure within 24hrs Shipper is advised and get the consignee to contact Tanzania office through tz.export@maersk.com
Failure in providing correct information or documentation on time, Destination port (Maersk Tanzania) will direct all the related costs (detention, port storage, removal, customs penalties) to the Booking Office, shipper, consignee or their Agent without notice.
TBL (Through Bill of Lading) Transport documents (negotiable & non-negotiables) must be issued at origin
We provide 24 hours free period for Offloading/unpacking the truck at client premises at destination for Rwanda, Burundi failure of
which attract penalties of USD 250 per day per truck.

Invoicing Restrictions
For Exports from Rwanda, adding charges after the closure of AFR (documentation) and IOTD task is not acceptable unless payer confirms cost acceptance in writing or approval from rw.export@maersk.com
