Seafarers
Maersk Cadet Training Programme
The Maersk Cadet Training Programme helps you become a qualified and competent officer while giving you a wide experience and knowledge base to develop a successful maritime career.On joining, we'll assign you a designated officer who will support your training. You'll also receive guidance from senior officers, all while gaining vast exposure to our modern and diverse fleet.
We offer training programmes for Deck Cadets, Engine Cadets and Electrical Cadets. Deck Cadets learn to perform the day-to-day operations of a Deck Officer, including navigation, safety checks, vessel maintenance and deck work. As an Engine Cadet, you'll assist the Engineering Officers in maintaining the vessel main engines and all mechanical equipment, including taking daily logs. Electrical Cadets handle our reefer containers and receive training on the operation, maintenance and repair of a vessel’s electrical systems. Aside from training at sea, you'll also study at a maritime academy, giving you access to great learning opportunities and a holistic maritime education. Danish Deck Cadet
In port, you'll learn how to monitor cargo operations. As a future Deck Officer, you'll be responsible for day-to-day safety checks and the maintenance of life-saving equipment. You'll also learn about GMDSS procedures and how to update navigational charts and sailing directions.
On graduating, you'll be offered a job as Deck Officer.

Danish Engine Cadet
Engineers are responsible for all engines and technical systems onboard, making sure they're well-maintained and running smoothly.
It's an exciting field of innovation where you'll have the chance to influence and optimise our processes and systems. Other crucial parts of your education include leadership skills, safety training, and economy.
On graduation, you'll be offered a job as Marine Engineer.
