We would like to inform you of changes to the Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS) applicable on the S5S trade (Indian Subcontinent to South Africa & Islands).
Following a review of market conditions and network costs, we are reducing the ECS applicable on this trade. While the situation in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden continues to impact global supply chains, operational conditions have improved sufficiently to support a reduction in the surcharge level.
The change will take effect from the Price Calculation Date (PCD): 10-Sep-2026.
Trade Scope
- India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka → South Africa & Indian Ocean Islands (S5S)
ECS Revision
| Equipment Type | ECS Until [Previous Day] | ECS From [Effective Date] |
|---|---|---|
| ALL 20' Dry | USD 1,500 | USD 500 |

All amounts are per container.*
