We understand that the recent passing of Hurricane Melissa over the island of Jamaica, may have impacts on your supply chain.

To support your operations during extraordinary circumstances, we are providing the following relief measures:

  • Stop of the combined Detention and Demurrage clock for the period October 24th until November 7th, applicable for location Kingston, Jamaica. Any charges incurred prior to October 24th will not be part of the relief option and will be invoiced accordingly.
  • For containers discharged full and currently sitting inside terminal, above condition applies, demurrage to restart as of Nov. 8th. Should full containers be picked up before this date, we will grant grace period until Nov. 7th (inclusive) after which demurrage calculation to restart from Nov. 8th onwards.
  • For containers already dispatched before terminal closure and awaiting return to terminal, we are granting grace period until November 7th free of demurrage, calculation of demurrage to resume as of November 8th.

The above measures are taking into consideration the latest update from the terminal, which has restarted gate movements as of October 30th. We continue monitoring the situation closely and will inform you of any changes and/or further updates.
