All store door (SD) delivery shipments into Liberia are to be approved and accepted by Maersk Liberia office prior to the placement of booking.

Weight restrictions
The maximum safe working load (SWL) acceptable for Liberia is 28 metric tons, i.e cargo plus tare weight of container.
Equipments
45 ft containers are now accepted.
Less than Container Load (LCL) or Container Freight Station (CFS) cargo is currently not accepted.
Commodity restrictions
Right hand vehicles are not accepted in Liberia.
Freight payment acceptance
All freight invoice / payment (including Port Additional Import) for import shipment into Liberia must be made at origin or booking office. ONLY destination local charges invoice / payments are accepted to be made in Liberia. No freight invoice / payment acceptance in Liberia with the exception of the Liberia sales controlled customers. Conditional acceptance MUST be arranged prior vessel departure with the approval of lavela.siefa@maersk.com.
Late Payment Fee of $50.00 applied against all Import shipments having freight and destination local charges outstanding after 1 weeks of vessel arrival.
