Following the recent tariff adjustments published by the KRC (Kenya Railways Corporation) Maersk hereby notifies you of revisions to IHI/IHE (Inland Haulage Import/Inland Haulage Export) charges and the introduction of a Fuel Surcharge (EFS/IFS) across the corridors listed below.
- Mombasa – Nairobi (CY) Imports on Rail
- Nairobi – Mombasa (CY) Exports on Rail
- All exports via ICD (SD) On rail and truck mode
The above change is effective 1st June 2026, to all customer segments unless otherwise communicated.
The afore-referenced operational charges are subject to periodic review and may be adjusted from time to time to reflect changes in underlying cost components, including but not limited to fuel prices, regulatory requirements and third-party charges associated with service delivery.

The adjustments are mechanically linked to observable external cost changes and are not discretionary pricing adjustments.
This notice is issued by Maersk independently to provide information on updated operational charges applicable to affected services. The revised charges are applied in connection with the provision of services and, where applicable, in accordance with relevant service arrangements.
Nothing in this notice shall be construed as a waiver of any rights or remedies available to Maersk, or as an amendment or variation of any terms other than the rate adjustments expressly set out in this notice.
