Maersk is implementing the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for the scope of Far East Asia (Excluding Korea, South) to North Europe and Mediterranean with effective price calculation date from 10th Jun 2026. Origin from Korea, South effective price calculation date from 25th Jun 2026.

- Korea, South origin apply PSS at the same quantum with the effective date from 25th Jun 2026.
- Far East Asia countries include Brunei, China, Hong Kong China, Indonesia, Japan, Cambodia, Mongolia, South Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan China, Thailand, and Vietnam.
- Destinations refer to destinations in the trade scopes that may be different from a global geographic definition.
PSS is applicable to all equipment types including dry, high dry, reefer, high cube reefer, bulk, collapsible flat rack, flat rack, hive, pallet wide, open top, tank, and twin deck.
Non-SPOT booking – The above rate is retrieved based on Price Calculation Date (PCD).
For non-FMC, PCD refers to the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation for non-spot bookings.
For FMC, PCD is last container gate-in date for non-spot bookings.
Pay term – The above charge is collected follow freight paid location.

The above rates are also subject to other applicable surcharges, including local charges and contingency charges. These rates are unaffected by, and do not affect, any tariff notified, published, or filed in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
For trades subject to the US Shipping Act or the China Maritime Regulations, quotations or surcharges that vary from the Maersk tariff shall not be binding on Maersk unless included in a service contract or service contract amendment that has been filed with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) or the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, as applicable.
