A.P. Moller – Maersk would like to inform you of a temporary change to rail availability at APM Terminals in the Port of Rotterdam.

As part of the ongoing APM Terminals expansion, rail operations will be impacted for a limited period of approximately six months from the 1st July 2026. During this time, rail services will not be available for merchant haulage, however rail services for carrier haulage remain fully operational.

The current estimation is that services will return from January 2027, however we will update customers on an exact timeline as soon as it becomes clear.

Alternative options

For shipments arriving at APM Terminals in Rotterdam, customers can arrange barge on carriage to inland terminals, or use truck transport as an alternative during the affected period.

Our local teams remain available to support discussions on feasible alternatives where needed.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will inform you should there be any material changes to the above.

Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership.
