Although we keep you in the loop about urgent and important changes, you can customize your notifications and how frequently you want to receive them. Here’s how:
- Log in to your Maersk account and go to the profile section on the top right.
- Click on ‘Manage Subscriptions’. From here, you can select where you get notified (email or web notifications online) and how often. On the left, you can enter the email address where you want to receive notifications. However, do note that for movement subscriptions, the notification email is per the current log-in identity. Only Transport Plan Changes, B/L, and Arrival Notice notifications allow you to change the email.
- You can also manage notifications for specific events like Gate-in, Load, Discharge, and Gate-out separately.
- \Apart from this, you can choose to get notified about any changes in transportation plan, B/L, or Arrival Notice.
- Once you’re logged in, you will see the ‘Tracking’ option on the top menu. Simply enter your shipment details and get updates about your Maersk Spot booking.
- Alternatively, you can go to the ‘Export Overview’ tab on the left and select the concerned Bill of lading (B/L) number as per the specified shipment. You’ll land on the shipment details, where you will get a complete overview of that particular booking. You can also make any necessary changes to your booking here.
Maersk offers complete visibility into your shipment’s journey. Here’s how you can easily track your shipments:
At Maersk, we offer you the flexibility to submit and change your shipping instructions (SIs) on our digital portal – anywhere, anytime. Here’s how:
Submitting shipping instructions
- Navigate to the ‘Tasks’ tool on the left from the Hub: Here, you can view shipments where Shipping Instructions are due. Click ‘Submit Shipping Instructions’ to launch the SI tool.
- Access shipment details: Go to the ‘Export Overview’ tab and click on the concerned bill of lading (B/L). It will take you to the Shipment Details. Click ‘View All Tasks’ on the page to find the option to submit shipping instructions.
- SI submit portal: Here, you'll find tabs for different parts of your shipping instructions from the header at the top. (If needed, you can split, part, or combine your B/Ls before submitting the final SI.)
- Submitting SIs for all B/Ls created: You can fill out details in four segments: Document, Parties, Payers, and Cargo & VGM.
- Document: Provide transport document receiver details, document types, release instructions, any required references, and additional information. Specify vessel and location aliases if necessary.
- Parties: Add or edit parties related to your shipment, including the shipper, consignee, and ‘First Notify’ party. You may customize how the addresses are displayed using the ‘Edit’ tool.
- Payers: Add or remove payers, assign charges, and choose prepaid or collect charges. Decide whether to display charges on the B/L.
- Cargo & VGM: Add cargo details, HS codes, descriptions, package weights, and volume, and check seals and references based on regulations.
- Review: Review the entire shipping instructions form along with the changes in different sections. Make edits if needed.
- Send verify copy: After carefully reviewing, save the changes and send the verified copy to additional email IDs if required. You can also save the draft or use print preview to check how the B/L will appear.
- Submit: Click ‘Submit’ once you've completed the amendments and SI form.
Once you submit the SI amendments, our team will perform some validation checks and send the revised B/L to you over email within 6-8 hours.
Amending shipping instructions
To amend your SI, these are the steps:
- Go to the shipment details of the specific booking.
- Click the option to ‘Amend Verify Copy’ or ‘Amend Bill of Lading’, depending on the current status.
- Make necessary changes to any section you want.
- Review all details again and submit the SI.
