Book your freight anytime and from anywhere on Maersk Spot. Here’s a step-by-step walkthrough:
- Log in to Maersk.com. If you are new to Maersk, sign up and register for our transportation and logistics services.
- On signing in, you will land on Maersk Hub. Here, you’ll see the
‘New Booking’ option in the top menu. Alternatively, you can visit our Instant Price page. - Next, provide us with your booking details – origin & destination, service mode (port-to-port (CY) or door-to-door (SD) for each location), commodity, container type & size, price owner, and preferred departure date. Click
‘Search ‘. - Next, select your departure date and check the corresponding rates. You can also check the route and other details for deadlines. Click
‘Book’ to continue - You’ll land on the booking page that will show you all the details you’ve provided. Review everything and click
‘Continue’ . - We’ll pull a list of all available Maersk vessel sailings. Select
‘Rollable’ if needed, pick your preferred time & rates, and click‘Book’ . - Opt for additional services if required. You can also book additional freetime to stay ahead in case of shipment delays. Scroll down.
- Provide any additional information to facilitate your shipment – pickup depot & date, haulage reference number (if any), and shipment parties. Click ‘
Review Booking’ . - Review your booking details, make edits if needed, accept terms & conditions, and finally, click
‘Submit’ to finalize your booking.
Booking on Maersk App
The booking process is the same on the Maersk app as described above. Here’s how you can navigate the booking portal on your phone:
- Log in to the Maersk app with your username and password.
- Click the ‘Price/Book’ option from the home screen and input booking details (same as mentioned earlier).
- Select ‘View Prices’ and choose your preferred sailing.
- Accept the T&Cs and submit your booking.
You’ve booked your freight, but need to change something. Maersk offers flexibility to make quick amendments before the sailing. Here’s how:
- Log in to Maersk Hub and head to the ‘Export overview’ tab. Search for and select the corresponding bill of lading (BoL). Click on the booking and you’ll be taken to the shipment details.
- In the ‘Booking Actions’ menu, select the ‘Amend Booking’ option.
- Make the required changes to your booking. Note that you only need to enter the amendment required, and don’t need to enter other information again.
- You’ll see the current sailing and new options below. In some cases, using the original sailing is possible as well. Select your preferred sailing.
- Review all changes and submit your amended booking.
